Proudly referred to as a Kick off Event for the Cooperative Month Celebration 2023, the COOP GALA NIGHT that was held last October 6 at Valentino Resort & Spa, San Jose, Batangas was collaboratively organized by Cooperative Union of Batangas (CUB) & PCLEDO.
The event was indeed a night of solidarity, gratitude, performances, fun, entertainment and glamour. Attended by more than 200 representatives of CUB's cooperative affiliates from the six districts of Batangas, CUB Chairperson Angelito Bagui on his opening remarks shared how delighted he was that after 40 years of CUBs existence, it was able to come up with such an event for the very first time. The star of the gala, the men and women of cooperatives came at their best red-carpet attire and each district showed what they've got on their dance performances. Special guests including members of the Board of Directors, members of various committees, and partners who have made an impact on CUBs journey completed the night.
Moreso, the presence and messages of important guests graced the occasion, and made the night more special, including Ms. Elvira Pasagui, Executive Assistant III from CDA- R4 Extension Office; USec. Joseph Encabo , Chairperson,BOD-CDA; Board Member & Chairperson of Committee on Livelihood & Economic Enterprise Development, Hon. Claudette Ambida & LMP Batangas- President Hon. Valentino Patron. It was a great pleasure for CUB having the AGAP Partylist Representative and Chairperson of Committee on Cooperatives, Hon. Nicanor Briones as the Guest Speaker and the Honorable Vice Governor Mark Leviste shared an Inspirational message, which added prestige to the event.
More than a night of glamour, the occasion also recognized CUB cooperative affiliates in terms of their commitment in remitting CETF, participation in Blood Donation project and different on the spot awards.
